Because of the abuse this industry has perpetrated on the public, this very week there are new FTC rules going into effect (Oct 27th) to better protect consumers from debt settlement scammers. Here's one of our articles on the subject:

Thank you for your reply and websites. I am really going to look into this. Of course the company said they were compliant and knew of the new rules for this Thursday. I still don't believe them.
