My wife and I were recently offered a membership with a company by the name of "Global Service". The company claims to be an authorized distributor for TPC Pro-Travel, which is supposed offer some sort of direct buying benefits for its' members. The presentation that we were shown made claim that their company offered its' members vacations and consumer retail goods at prices that were too good to be true. They offered 2 different packages (Gold and Platinum) where the gold cost 4k and the platinum was 5k. They were able to lure us into the presentation by way of offering a complimentary 5 day / 4 night cruise for 2 and $300 in grocery gift vouchers. The presentation was given in some hotel conference room. Looking at some paperwork it shows 2 different websites (www.enjoyaccess.com and www.tpc-protravel.com). They also have an office located at 40 FM 1960 W. Suite 433, Houston, TX 77090. I don't see any names for company owners. Has anyone ever heard of this company and if so, is this a scam?

D,

I found multiple reports under the name Global Service, I would need an address to confirm and locate a report.

However, when looking at what is being offered to you, I would urge you caution before engaging in these types of "benefits", they can be costly and riddled with unknown fee's and requirements. Check out this information the LABBB has on this type of industry.

Thank you

I have been a member of Global Service for a year and have really enjoyed the savings I have seen. I booked a trip to California for my daughter's wedding and between the airline tickets and hotel reservation, I saved close to $200 with my membership. I have also purchased some appliances, namely my washer and dryer, through my membership and saved over $500.

I know there are alot of negative things on the web about this company. However, as a very satisfied member, I can say that the reports are not true. Yes, the employees are sometimes very busy and may be hard to reach. But, overall, the customer service is great and the savings can't be beat.

Believe what you will but, I am glad I joined this program and plan to use it often in the future.

So I am the person who originally posted this question and I would be the first to tell anyone to stay clear of this company. It is a complete scam. The wife and I both originally bought into the program, but immediately canceled the membership because of doubts. The main reason that we canceled was because there was no one person who was accountable on their end (Read their documentation carefully) and there was no long running presence that the company had. Even after we canceled, we had hopes that the complimentary cruise and the free grocery coupons would go through, but low and behold they didn't. The grocery coupons never came and the free cruise was just some attempted scam to draw more money out of us. After we sent off the free cruise voucher, we received a request for us to send a money order to some address in Florida. This set off yet another red flag with us. These people should be arrested and I really hope someone is able to shut these people down before they cause real damage to a family in need.

We feel it is important to point out a few things; TPC-ProTravel is a fulfillment company and does not provide promotional items like cruises and grocery coupons, secondly we do not contract directly to the end user so we would have no direct relationship with this person, as we only deal with people who are actual members of the different buying groups that we provide fulfillment for. Lastly TPC-ProTravel was founded in 1999 in Texas and is part of the largest travel consortium in the world, and also has many other member based support firms who combined provide member services to millions of families throughout North America. We joined your company in July of last year. Since then we've had some financal troubles.Work is slow and times are hard, even though we've enjoyed time spent with your company. Your customer service department was able to work with us, and release us without penalties.

We went to a Global Service presentation today. At the end when the sales person was to talk to us I began with, "I never buy on a "today only" offer before doing research." The sales person said, " In that case I will get your free cruise certificate for you now." No pressure sale. However, when I got home I did look them up on BBB and found they had several AKA names. One was TPC- Travel Pro, another was Luxury Travel. They had an F rating due to many complaints.
As to not offering promotional gifts, my offer was for a free Carnival Cruise and a coupon for a meal at either Olive Garden or Red Lobster. You had to mail in the certificate and then receive your booklet with the cruise info and dining coupon. We were told that the cruise was free but we would have to pay tax and port taxes as well as a $99 service fee. I certainly am glad that another poster mentioned that they never received the cruise info or dining or groceries coupon. I can see where my "port charges, tax, and service fee" was going.
Has anyone ever reported this group to their State Attorney General to investigate?

To set the record straight- TPC-Pro-Travel is a fulfillment company with many clients & has no affiliation (AKA) with any other company. TPC-Pro-Travel also enjoys a very high BBB rating.

I attended the presentation and they wanted 6k or 7k depending on which program you wanted. I have tried to find out more information about their company buy it seems to be pretty secret. I even call the hotel where the presentation was last night and they were still there. The guy I talked with said they were located out of Houston but would not give me an address or phone number just said they were called Pro Consumer. I can't find out much about them he said you had to pay to find out about them. I am a little bit skeptical because there is no accountability. I asked him about the cruise and he said they would send me vouchers and then I would pay. Well If I get 2 tickets from Carnival then I might think different. It feels like a scam to me, but so far I am just out a wasted night. We'll see in 2 week when the cruise voucher comes if it comes. I surely would not pay them 6 or 7 thousand dollars till I knew a lot more. Its like trust me???? Don't think so.

Frank T, you are full of crap. No doubt your full time job with TPC is PR, trying to put out an abundance of fires. I've been reading about your "highly secret" company on numerous sites, and it is just a matter of time until you guys go belly up. I've been waiting 16 weeks for my 2-8 week processing period. I have not read a single report on these sites where a cruise was actually delivered. It looks like you try to separate yourself from Cruise Promo, but you cannot lure people in with the cruise, and then disassociate yourself from them. You are really evil people. Barry G

@ Barry G.
Have you received your information for finalizing your trip yet? I sent in my $99 application fee and STILL have not heard from them. Orginally it sounded legit, I registered within the time frame as well as completed my documentation as I was supposed too. However, I still have not heard from them. I am literally giving them until the end of Feb 2012 because my cruise is May 13th and I want to make sure I book now. It really sucks that I had such high hopes for this company but yet I feel like this is one big scam.

Hi everyone I'm back! Let me first start off and say at first I had my doubts however, I have been working with Matt in customer service and he has been so helpful. I am booked for my cruise. FYI--once everything is completely finalized and I make a call to carnival to verify that everything is booked I will return with yet another review for TPC. So far so good! Keep in mind that IT IS NOT A FREE CRUISE. Please read your information carefully because it does not say free but it is a huge discount and savings to you. Which in my opinion, any little savings is better than no savings at all? My words of advice be patient with them because I am sure they are very busy, and enjoy yourself with your "discounted trip".... :)

O.K. I'm back YET AGAIN, LOL. I just wanted to assure everyone that TPC is great and is not a scam! I mentioned that I would do update once I confirmed with carnival, because even until the last minute I was slightly nervous because I had to pay my portion and you just never know what could happen from there like "not hearing from them after my payment", but no they are great. I will tell everyone I know about company! I am not affliated with company nor do I work for them. I just wanted to let the public know that I was NOT SCAMMED. I received a cabin upgrade as well as 150 credit to spend on cruise. Hopefully I was helpful to anyone out there willing to read this. I plan to enjoy my vacay to Bahamas in May...

@ Stefanie W I am slightly suspicious you are affiliated with this company. You say you have been in contact with Matt, who has been extremely helpful to you. May I please have Matt's phone number? Thanks Barry G

@ Barry I can assure u I am in no way affliated with TPC. I too was a skeptic however I feel these boards are here so others can inform the public about companies. If I was scammed id tell ANYONE willing to listen, lol. Provide your voucher # and perhaps someone will contact you.

@ Stephanie. I would love to have the phone number for customer service. Can you share that with me? It would make me feel much more like I am not dealing with a company that wishes to remain anonymous and in hiding. Thanks Barry

Barry-

We feel like it is very unfair to accuse Stefanie of being dishonest, when she has actually furnished her voucher number and allowed us to authenticate her presence at a presentation. Stefanie is actually now booked and going to be cruising at her selected date. When we contacted you politely and asked for this information, you copied and pasted the same message that you have already spammed on as many discussions regarding our company that you could find.

With all these facts being considered, we must assume you may have not actually attended a presentation at all; furthermore, the promotional company’s phone number will NOT be posted since they are not open to the public.

Finally, unless you supply a voucher number or registration information that the promotional company can use to look in their database, we will assume that you are either from a competitive company, or a disgruntled internet racketeer.

Ultimately, your intent appears to be malicious and unfair since there’s no consideration to the fact that there are also many positive experiences from the promotional company.

With that being said, we’d like to thank Stefanie for being kind enough for giving future inquiries some of her insight.

Let me get this straight. TPC-ProTravel is replying for Stephanie W. I guess its safe to say that they are one in the same. Contact information for any legitimate company should not be an issue. Whether or not they are willing to help you is based on your membership into this so called club. Hey TPC-ProTravel, your intent appears to be malicious and unfair since my own personal experience with your company provided me knowledge that your company is a scam. You still owe me a cruise as compensation for wasting my time when I attended your BS seminar. Still waiting, but not holding my breath.

Barry-

Just as we suspected, we haven't heard any response privately, or on this forum, regarding your REAL NAME or VOUCHER #. Why are you so reluctant to allow us to provide service regarding this issue?
