The website and concept of a "nail bar" seemed unique, so I decided to book a waxing and nail appointment. Over the phone, I learned that they offer all types of waxings, and I later learned that they also perform massage therapy. When I arrived, the smell of acetone was overwhelming. Aside from the poor ventilation, the service wasn't all bad. Be prepared: They don't offer a military discount, and the prices are somewhat steep. They do offer "happy hour" specials, though, Monday through Wednesday before 3 p.m. In this town, there are very few people who don't work 9-5, so that explains why it may be hurting for business during these times. This town is severely lacking in upscale anything, so I had high hopes for Chic Nail, but it was a bit of a letdown overall. The waxing was very slow (and painful), and they didn't have the most soothing products for the pain/redness. The pedicurist was nice, but her English was very poor, and one of my toes is still hurting several days later (I think she trimmed the nail too short). There was a bit of a wait, too, even though I had an appointment, and the music left much to be desired.
