We originally purchased the Garry vacuum Sept 2009. It lasted just under 6 months when it made a deafening noise and started smoking. I called the company and was informed that they would send out a refurbished vacuum, no problem just pay $50.00 in shipping cost. What they failed to say was that you are also responsible to pay to ship the other defective one back at your expense as well. When I called to say I did not receive the return label with postage to send back the damaged one is when I was informed it was my responsibility to pay to return it, so another $50! They also state if they don't receive it back with in 30 days you are charged the full amount for another vacuum. There customer service is non existing. We asked to speak to a supervisor and were told that there wasn't one there now, but it would be pointless anyways because he would tell you the same thing I'm telling you. So bottom line do not ever buy a Garry vacuum, save yourself alot of time, money and heartache. I wish I would have been smart enough to read these reviews before ever making the mistake of buying it.
