Bad Experience
|
Really unprofessional experience with this company conducting screening for my employer, Leidos. The company indicated it was unable to obtain transcripts from a University(not the one I graduated from) due to a "hold" on the transcripts. I went to the University's website which forwarded me to the National Student Transcript Clearinghouse where I was able to download my own copy for $7 in about fifteen minutes. No hold was encountered. I subsequently emailed the transcripts to HR which they responded they could not accept from me (totally reasonable). I then sent them the hyperlink and access code so they could download the transcripts directly from the National Transcript Clearinghouse themselves. I received no further communication from them so assumed the issue was resolved. A week later I was hired anyway, however, the final report provided to the employer continued to indicate a "hold" had prevented them from obtaining the transcripts. I called the registrar's office directly and confirmed no hold and no issue. When I finally managed to contact someone via email from HR, I was told the registrar's office would "not provide the transcripts and would also NOT EVEN CONFIRM THE EXISTENCE OF A HOLD." Interesting.... if that was the case why would HR possibly tell the employer a hold existed on the 30 year old transcripts? Obviously it has a negative suggestion (unpaid tuition/loans, campus parking fines, cheating, whatever.....). I got nowhere trying to resolve this with HireRight. Total cavalier and laissez-faire attitude towards people's reputations and employment. I would not use this company for employee screening given what I experienced from them. - Tim Hedrick (Case 23066523,WD-100819-S432C)
