At Wits End With This Company
I have been with Aeriagames for quite some time now and find their service to be horrific and communistic. Any grievance I had with them was never resolved to my satisfaction. For years I have aided them without recognition,humbling even when I was done wrong and continued to support them. I have brought many players into the game,as well as, helped newer players understand and enjoy the game before they left via boredom. A few years back I was banned at the same time their servers were being "hacked",they referred to the attack as extortion and bottle necking by a hacker. In their game economy I had accumulated about 18 billion gold in assets, had AP purchased with many items on record I had not even used yet. After the purchase ,the next day I found I was banned and sent in an RT ticket (their complaint system). I was told that I had been hacked but was now unbanned. To my surprise upon log in (After a password change) I had nothing left, my records were cleaned out any spare AP was spent and the armor I had worked hard to obtain was on their in-game NPC market under an apparent Gold Spammer styled name,which consisted of random jibberish of letters. I had informed them and they did nothing,I believe something to the effect of ,once it is back in the economy it`s gone. Many of my friends had left the game for Aion, and more current Skyrim and will not invest into Aeria again because the competition of those games and the nail in the coffin was they too had bad experiences with Aerias` customer service. I had never again had AP purchased since the incident. With my character,for years, I remained at a mid-level to help newer players,instead of following the power leveling crowd (an apparent marketing strategy by aeria to sell experience boosters and other boosters). Many players new and old know my toon as very helpful compared to their in-game Game Sages. I teach them how to rely on in game mechanics ,in order to obtain gold to succeed in the game. I had went through much to recover for my losses from the ban,had quit maybe a few weeks before a friend begged me to return to the game and promised to help me regain my gear,if not ,better than the gear I had lost. I agreed and have over time (about 2 years). When dealing with their forum shoutbox,I see that they have this "cool highschool crowd" faction mindset between most Game Sages and what appears to be suck up wanna be/rejected players who pass condescending for helpful. Several months back I had run into (in-game) one of Last Chaos (the game) "superstar Game Sages" Andaro and asked an in-game question and had gotten snubbed via a snotty response--something like blowing me off because it is not their job to help whenever asked and since they are players too,that it is optional to refuse to aid was implied. It was very rude so instead of responding to it,I went about my business.My recent grievance is that they had banned someone with my belongings on the person and I requested them back. They have sent nothing but automated responses that seems to find keywords within the complaint and sends a premade response. For instance, in my letter I used the words "friends" and "banned" and their response was "We do not discuss bans....yada yada",although the context was not about that but about obtaining my losses. They back that up with a pointing to their ToS rules about not being responsible for losses due to someone obtaining my account info (implying I shared my info?!). I sent my last RT ticket in reply stating that they are in fact responsible because had they not banned the friend I would not have lost my items. Their final response was as someone says below, that it has been resolved (to their satisfaction,as always) and any more replies will be considered spam. Many of their top levels and tiered spenders know my toon well and respect me so much they contribute to the development of my toon and donate much to me to try and keep me from leaving the game. On one hand they want you to help newer players but they do not help you on the other had they directly banned a noob caught cheating,expecting me to suck up the loss. There is no remedy in place for these kinds of situations and with that said suggest that I do not help anyone anymore--This will only lead to people starting the game and leaving because more people (already established) are about their own glory than aiding anyone else,especially if they are new so not apart of the "cool crowd" of Plvling pvp competitors.Many of these people race to the top via plvl and then get bored so turn bully to newer players as well,I`ve seen this first hand,time and time again. I have helped them (aeria) catch cheaters ,hackers and spammers throughout the years as well and never once have they made me whole in any area where I suffered loss at their hands. It makes no sense to use their complaint system or go into their forums if they have reserved templates and people in place to deflect everything and somehow make it seem through fault of your own you had experienced unfairness. I am be contemplating this weekend whether to quit the game. I do know the few people I brought into the game will follow my lead as well because we play many games online and they follow me everywhere I go,some who even buy AP still,against my opinion, and gift me items alot. If Aeria reads this....Get a clue, stop steering towards newer players so much at the expense of the veterans. Everything they do sets a player of my class back because they cater to popularity, and the most popular classes in the game are usually the biggest trouble makers. I am no longer willing to grind out the gold to get back to where I was to achieve my own goals anymore---Tedious redundancy that wreaks of "You wanna get ahead then buy our risky items which we may take away at any time and hide behind our onerous terms to protect ourselves legally". Lastly, not all the Sages are bad, I know of 3 who, although may not be perfect, they have my full respect and I think they are awesome--I hope they know who they are and thank them for putting up with the things they must endure amist the insanity ;) One of the 3 is the oldest and not even on my friends list in-game but she always seem to recognize me and acknowledges what I am about--Thanks D....aka E (in-game :) <3
