Poor customer service
|
Good customer service should be just as important when dealing with guests who are cancelling a reservation as well as booking one. I had the displeasure of dealing with April when booking our stay at a villa in FL. She was very attentive and really pushed for extra services (like a heated pool in the middle of August) when I was planning on booking. Some would say this is great salesmanship, I have to disagree. Unfortunately, I had to cancel my reservation when our daughter was diagnosed with cancer within weeks of making this reservation. While I was aware of the cancellation policy, I looked to April for some advice and asked about future rental possibilities. It was when, I alerted April about my daughter’s diagnosis and told her I had to cancel the trip that April stopped responding, and in a few short words referred me to the Airbnb website. Not an once of compassion, not an ounce of care. Her response to my lengthy explanation was about as cold as as can be. I wasn’t looking for charity, I was looking for other possibilities to a future rental, and maybe a few answers to questions I couldn’t find at the website. I will never stay at any of the locations hosted by this person. I am certain there are nicer people to deal with out there.
