One of the best things I ever did was contact Disability Group, Inc. Even though I am on the east coast and they are on the west coast, communication was never a problem. I dealt with two represenatives over the time and they were both top notch. I like the fact that the group sends a time line which was spot on. Although the Dept of SS can be daunting and it usually takes SS two long years, Disability Group is so professional that if the case depended on the group, it would be settled in months. The correspondence from the SS seems so firm in their denials of your claim and if it wasn't for Disability Group, I would have abandoned my claim. The group will tell you straight up if you have a winnable claim or not and to stick with it. Their fee is very fair and they legitimately went back further with my claim than I would have and more than justified the fee. The only thing I would not give five stars is the attorney assigned to be for the final trial. However, we did win. Good luck to each of you.
