RUDE!!!

My husband and I are moving from CA to LA in a month or so. We called up quite a few companies for quotes etc. This is one of the companies we called. Talk about rude, I felt like the guy just wanted to get money and, get off the phone with me! Sure we went through all the phone garbage of telling them the larger items and what not, and we came to an agreement as to how many pound it'd be. It was a fair estimate for pounds as the other companies quoted us the same weight.
These guys wanted $1,600 for the move, whereas another company wanted $1,200 and were way more polite and down to Earth about all this. In this economy what would anyone pick, the lesser amount right? My husband politely told the people at GPS, that we were going with another company due to their rates. The guy at GPS immediately wanted to know the weight and price we were quoted, and by who and what company. We made the mistake of obliging, thinking that they might lower the price or throw in some boxes, which they charge extra.
Within minutes my husband received an email with a website ostracizing the company we chose to go with. Talk about dirty pool! There will always be moving companies that show up an hour late, there will always be moving companies that break stuff, and there will always be companies that play games with pricing. Heck, even if we moved the stuff ourselves, we'd run the risk of running late, breaking, or scratching our own stuff. People are human. All we were looking for, was muscle cause we're human and lazy.
Honestly, does GPS think they are going to get our business by trash talking their competitors? Do they honestly think their customers are stupid sheep that don't know how to google reviews for themselves? Of course a company would want to defend themselves. Why should anyone take the negativity about others, just because of greed? There's enough of that mud slinging in the political arena, why do it in moving?
Sorry, but, a company that makes money off of trash talking, their competitors for their choices in saving some money, isn't going to get a dime from me or my husband.
