CHEATERS!! WORST!! FRAUDA!!

WORST!!! FRAUDS!!We booked our move from Midwest Movers to move from Illinois to Delaware. They gave us an estimate of USD 2045.00 for the packing and moving of 502 cf, which they only calculated. The pickup was scheduled on October 20th between 8-10 AM. First, nobody showed up on the moving day. At the time of booking we were told in case there is a change in time, we'll be communicated well in advance. They did not inform that there is no pickup in the morning. We were calling the Moving company and the customer representative we were dealing with- Kevin, was not available to talk to us and the other people were very rude and very unprofessional. They said all you have to do is to wait. Finally after 3 or 4 calls, they gave us driver's number and we got to talk to the driver and he said he cannot come before 4:30 PM. We had booked our building elevator for 3-5 PM for which we had already paid USD 150.00 and the dock closes by 5:30 PM. Since they had to pack as well, so, technically even if he would have arrived by 4:30 PM(which was very much doubtful) against as promised in the morning, they wouldn't have finished packing and loading before 5 PM. So my husband asked him to come next day morning. Again, as promised in the morning by 9 AM, the driver arrived after multiple calls to him, somewhere by 1 PM. He was not aware that there is a full packing service included. He said it's much more stuff(according to the driver it was 750-800 cf) than he was informed and doubled the packing charges and the whole moving charge from 2045.00 to approximately 3600.00 USD. He said he will be able to pack alone in 2 hours while the company said there will be 2-6 men and will require 4-8 hours in total. So, if he is estimating more stuff, and single handed how can he pack in way much less time? This did not make any sense to us and only indicated of either he has no idea of full packing or he is just going to dump stuff and everything we are going to receive will be broken or some sort of lies somewhere which we could feel trapped into.
Then he said, his job is to take this to warehouse and from there it can take Months or weeks!!! This was quite frustrating at this point. The delivery was promised in a week's time. With so much lies, uncertainty and unprofessional behavior of all the people involved we said we do not want to go ahead with the move. So, they tried to threaten us for the deposit which we already paid. They said the same thing the previous day when the driver did not show up and our rep Kevin was not taking the call- that you have already given the deposit and now you cannot cancel it when we said if they are not going to let us know if there will be any pickup or not. We definitely felt trapped for cheating and since we already booked we had to wait and they had our money. We had to reschedule everything- to start with the elevator, extend my son's day care, the flight ticket, the hotel at our destination. They took the car already so we had to use taxi to move around.
The way these people are full of LIES we realized, we'll lose the money as well as our stuff and there is no guarantee if they will deliver (at all) in one piece(saying the driver is going to pack in 2 hours by himself). So we thought at this point we are going to suffer the loss of deposit money and decided to cancel our move with this company- Midwest Movers as they did not come on time in spite of multiple calls ( 2 times), not with the proper team to do the job of full pack and load as promised and raised their own estimate almost doubles. They lied, threatened and cheated and forget any bit of professionalism.
These people are FRAUDS!! Do not use Midwest Movers, only you will get is threats and stress and you will only feel cheated and stuck once you have paid the deposit amount and of course lose everything. Beware!!
