When I spoke to Annette at Quality Carpet, I told her that I had a regular carpet cleaner. Unfortunately, he did not get the edges of my light carpet clean. She reassured me that their cleaners did a great job on the edges, but she would make a note on the order if I went with their company.
I made an appointment in the range of 1:00 to 3:00 on October 13. At 2:00 I called to make sure the technician was coming. My husband and I spent the entire morning preparing for the carpet cleaners. The beds and bathrooms were packed with small pieces of furniture and knick-knacks. I called again at 2:45 and was assured that the technician should be here at any moment. Again I called after 3:00 and the girl in the office (I believe her name was Ann) spoke to the dispatcher and said he didn’t understand why the tech was not there. Finally he arrived at 3:45.
The technician said that he could not clean the edges. That required a special cleaner and brush that Coit provided, but not Quality Carpet. He said that the people in the office don’t know what goes on in the field. This technician was an independent contractor and said for another $150 (My original quote was under $200) he would do the edges next week. Now my price doubled and my beds and bathrooms are unusable.
I should the technician the 5 step process shown on the Quality Carpet Cleaning website and he shook his head. He said that he did not perform all those steps.
The tech was very nice. The misleading was done by Quality Carpet Care.
My entire day was wasted as I had to put everything back. I called the carpet cleaner I usually used and he came the next week. He brought edge cleaner and a special brush and charged me $50 more than usual.
I called Quality Carpet several times and asked for the owner to call me. The girl in the office told me that he said he did call. I never heard from Mr. Mark Wills.
