SUN AUTO = FRAUD/SCAM AND LOST MONEY BEWARE!
Beware of these scam artist, They may seem like the answer for those who need second chances at credit they are not! Purchased a vehicle from them in early April 2010 during the test drive we noticed the vehicle had transmission issue with hard shifting, And the A/C did not work. The sales person Henry And the Finance guy Victor told me that if we wanted the Van they would fix the issues just to make an appointment And they promised both issue's would be resolved, after careful consideration And my wife needing a vehicle we decided that this was a pretty good deal, They even said the Van came with a 2 year 24K warranty that covered 100% all of the major components of the vehicle all we would pay would be $100 deductible for repair. Fast forward the 1 week I tried several time to make a appointment with the mechanic, but never got a return call. So on a free day I returned And spoke with Henry And Victor who said they would have him look at it right away, after some time He completed what ever He was doing And said the van was ready And it was just low on Freon And they charged it. And I would have to come back for the Tranny to be looked at. Satisfied I left with the A/C blowing cold. The next morning my wife did her daily driving And called And said the A/C was not working. So I took it back the next day again there cracker jack mechanic said nothing was wrong with the A/C that He may not of fully charged it in his hurry to get it done, so He again took it too his little spot on the sales yard in the middle under a little canopy this time I watched as He had even a better mechanic charge the system to my amazement this one did not even know how to hook up a can a Freon, complaining the connector was not right, I jokingly told him sir that was the high pressure side. He mumbled And still tried I asked the 1st mechanic where his A/C machine was for checking for leaks etc. He replied sir for safety I can not have you in the shop area? I was like what shop its the middle of the display yard with all the other cars for sale. Not wanting to makes waves I went inside asking Henry what was up with that. He said He would look into it. So almost 3 hours latter they again brought the van over with the A/C blowing cold. I was like Okay hope fully this Is fine. The next morning not only was it not fine now I had a radiator leak that was not there before. I then called Henry who transferred me too Victor. I told Victor I was tired of this And that the Van had been there now 3 time And all I got to show for it Is a lot of wasted time And no a radiator hose leaking, And that I wanted it fixed He replied then go have it fixed that's what the warranty Is for! I was shocked I was like Okay who Is paying the deductible then? Victor replied that I was And that they would wave the deductible if I had the work done at there shop? At there shop ! He I said I have been there 3 times And nothing has been fixed I was like fine I will be there but you better have a A/C person there And a Transmission person to take care of these issues that are on my due bill!. He was like not a problem. About 3 hours latter Henry had called me back saying that Victor had agreed to pay the deductible if I felt better talking it to somewhere other that here. I was like better or He realized paying $100. Is better than paying for a new A/C compressor And whatever Is wrong with the Transmission. He had no answer So they gave me the name of a place they had a account with. Another nightmare, they tried to get warranty approval And rightfully so told the warranty company this was a existing condition "bam"automatic denial. Now I called Victor back only to talk to Henry again who now was a different person then before very rude And uncaring And did not want to be bothered. I was like look tell victor what do I have to do sue you people to fix what I was told in writing to be done? Right away Victor gets on the phone And gets very angry And say look we always try And help our customers but we have gone beyond what we need to do. After I told him I still have a due bill with the items not fixed now almost 2 months later He told me He would speak to Frank the GM And see what they could do And they would call me back. Still waiting to this date! Not only that 2 weeks ago the Transmission gave up took it to a Chevy dealer after paying $400. To find out About the Trans And the A/C they told me that basically the Transmission was done! And that the best case option if the warranty company approved it then they could get it fixed. Only to be called About 2 hours latter from Chevy stating they spoke to the warranty company And that if this was a existing condition as determined by there adjuster they would not cover anything on the Transmission And the A/C was no longer covered And the kicker if they covered the trans, then they would only cover up to %50 of the vehicles value which would be About $1700. Leaving me with the rest. "so much for the $100 deductible) so Chevy was quoting About $3800 best case scenario? Leaving me with About $2100 to pay out! ( and would still have no A/C another $700) I was furious! I called the warranty company And explained my case they told me that in my contract it states that way in the back towards the bottom of the last page! I was like could I get a copy of that contract cause I do not have a copy they informed me the selling dealer should of gave me a copy! And to get a duplicate from them it would be $25.00. I was speechless. I was like okay how do I get a refund of the money that I found out I actually paid for on the warranty they told me to call the finance company I make my payments to as they are the ones who paid it! So now I went back to Sun Auto who guess what they are no longer there go figure! Also now its been 4 months And have not even gotten my plates or registration, I went to DMV And according to them the VIN # I gave them they stated the vehicle was a salvaged title And was not to be financed etc! So 4 months latter out About a total of $1700 ($1000 down And made 3 payments) And now the finance company can not or don't want to understand why I am not making any more payments too them! I already explained to them unless they want to step in a figure out what Is going on the car Is located at the Chevy dealership And they are welcome to it! So be warned I am already in the process of getting a lawyer etc. To try And track down this dynamic trio of car sales schemer's I also plan to put in some news paper adds describing this so more people are warned!I also plan on filing a complaint for fraud with the DMV so do not buy from these people!! I would not even give them 1 star but that is as low as the this site allows!
