When Universal Marketing Solutions originally contacted me to sell my Time share, the fee was $699 and all the guarantees of selling in 120 days or money back, etc. On 12/10/08 I was called and told my time share was sold and they needed $1197 to cover costs. I really didn't have the money as my husband had just been laid-off and Christmas was coming but knowing that the money from this sale could really help us, we paid the fee. We are still waiting.
This experience has taught me a lesson in trust. What a shame we have to live with such fear of trusting people. I will never deal with anyone over the phone again. Everyone should realize how dangerous it is to give a total stranger your credit card number without proper documents.
